Mobile food market volunteer shift with We Don't Waste — Tuesday
Distribute rescued produce and groceries at a free outdoor food market in Denver. Final Tuesday of September, 9am–noon MDT. Spanish speakers especially helpful.
Why we picked this
Last Tuesday of September closes out the month with a direct-distribution market shift — the food you handle has been rescued from going to waste and lands with families by noon.
The Tuesday mobile market is one of two weekly shifts where We Don’t Waste puts rescued food directly into the hands of Denver families. The September 29th shift runs 9am to noon at a rotating neighborhood location. Volunteers set up, sort produce and packaged goods, and staff the distribution tables throughout the morning.
Spanish-speaking volunteers are especially welcomed — many market attendees communicate primarily in Spanish. All ages are welcome, groups can sign up together, and no experience is needed. Register through Volunteer Matters and confirm the address in the portal before the shift.
Dress for an October-adjacent morning — cool starts, variable conditions. Closed-toe shoes recommended.
