Mobile food market volunteer shift with We Don't Waste — Tuesday
Help distribute rescued produce and groceries at a free outdoor food market in Denver. Tuesday morning, 9am–noon MDT. Spanish speakers especially welcome.
Why we picked this
First Tuesday of September — outdoor market work where you hand rescued food directly to neighbors. The immediacy is real: the produce you sort goes home with someone that same morning.
We Don’t Waste runs mobile food markets twice a week, bringing rescued produce and groceries to Denver families at no cost. Tuesday markets run approximately 9am to noon at rotating neighborhood locations. Volunteers handle setup, produce sorting, and direct distribution to community members as they arrive.
Spanish-speaking volunteers are especially helpful at these markets. The work is outdoor and physical — you’ll be on your feet moving crates and bags for most of the shift. All ages welcome, no prior experience needed. Register through the Volunteer Matters portal.
Market locations rotate each week — check the portal for the specific address when you sign up. Wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate layers for a September morning.
