Mobile food market volunteer shift with We Don't Waste — Friday
Help distribute fresh produce and groceries to Denver metro families at a rotating outdoor market location. 9 AM–noon. Spanish speakers especially welcome.
Why we picked this
Set up at a rotating outdoor location, hand out produce and shelf-stable goods to Denver families, and break it down before noon — the lines move fast and the need is real.
We Don’t Waste runs mobile food markets twice a week at rotating locations across the Denver metro area. As a volunteer, you’ll help set up the market, assist families as they select food, load bags, and manage check-in. Spanish-speaking volunteers are especially useful since many clients speak primarily Spanish.
Markets are primarily outdoors, so dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. The shift runs 9:00 AM to approximately noon. Exact location is shared after you register through the Volunteer Matters portal. Most sites have parking nearby.
We Don’t Waste rescues surplus food from restaurants, grocery stores, and events that would otherwise go to landfill and gets it directly to families facing food insecurity. Each market typically serves hundreds of households.
