Food Recovery Hub warehouse shift with We Don't Waste
Help sort and stage rescued food at We Don't Waste's northeast Denver warehouse. Thursday morning, 9am–noon MDT. Groups welcome, no experience needed, closed-toe shoes.
Why we picked this
Hub shifts let partner nonprofits 'shop' the inventory for their own clients — the sorting work you do on Thursday shows up in other organizations' distribution by the weekend.
At the We Don’t Waste Food Recovery Hub, Thursday volunteers sort and organize rescued food so it can move quickly to mobile markets and partner nonprofits. The warehouse at 6090 E 39th Ave receives surplus donations — produce, packaged goods, proteins — and volunteers help get everything categorized and ready for distribution.
Groups are welcome, all ages can participate, and no experience is needed. Sign up through the Volunteer Matters portal.
The Hub is an active warehouse environment. Closed-toe shoes are required, and clothes you can move comfortably in are the right call. Shifts run roughly 9am to noon.
