Food Recovery Hub warehouse shift with We Don't Waste
Sort and package rescued food at We Don't Waste's warehouse in northeast Denver. Thursday morning shift, 9am–noon MDT. Closed-toe shoes required. No experience needed.
Why we picked this
Thursday Hub shifts are where the rescued food gets sorted and staged before it hits the markets — physical warehouse work with a clear, same-week impact.
The We Don’t Waste Food Recovery Hub at 6090 E 39th Ave is where donated and rescued food gets sorted, packaged, and prepared before heading out to mobile markets and partner organizations. Thursday morning shifts run approximately 9am to noon. Volunteers handle produce, proteins, and packaged goods — organizing inventory so it can move to the people who need it, often within days.
All ages welcome and groups can register together. No experience or special skills needed. Register through the Volunteer Matters portal before your shift.
Closed-toe shoes are required for warehouse work. Wear clothes you can move in — it’s hands-on, physical work throughout the shift.
