Food Recovery Hub warehouse shift with We Don't Waste
Sort and pack rescued food donations at We Don't Waste's Denver warehouse to supply their mobile markets and nonprofit partners. Thursdays 9 AM–noon.
Why we picked this
Sort and pack rescued food at the We Don't Waste warehouse — the behind-the-scenes work that keeps their mobile markets running and food flowing to partner nonprofits.
The Food Recovery Hub is the operations center for We Don’t Waste’s food rescue work. As a warehouse volunteer, you’ll sort incoming food donations, pack boxes and bags for distribution, and prepare supplies for the mobile market teams. The work is physical and moves at a steady pace.
Shifts run Thursday mornings, 9:00 AM to approximately noon, at the warehouse at 6090 E 39th Ave in Denver. Closed-toe shoes are required. The warehouse is climate-controlled. Groups are welcome — register through Volunteer Matters.
We Don’t Waste rescues over 4 million pounds of food annually, redirecting it from landfills to people experiencing food insecurity across the Denver metro. The Hub is where most of that food gets sorted and packed before it reaches families.
