Food Recovery Hub warehouse shift with We Don't Waste
Sort donated food and assemble grocery bags for nonprofits at We Don't Waste's Denver warehouse. Weekly Thursday shifts, 9am–noon. Groups welcome with notice.
Why we picked this
Thursday morning at the Recovery Hub means sorting donated food, assembling grocery bags, and watching the pile shrink. Indoor warehouse work — closed-toe shoes required, groups welcome with advance notice.
The We Don’t Waste Food Recovery Hub at 6090 E 39th Ave is where donated food gets sorted, organized, and made available for nonprofit partner organizations to shop. Thursday morning shifts run from roughly 9am to noon. Volunteers sort donations, assemble grocery bags, and help partner orgs navigate the warehouse inventory.
It’s indoor work in a warehouse environment — closed-toe shoes are required. Groups can volunteer together with advance coordination; use the group request process through Volunteer Matters rather than signing up individually. Dozens of Thursday shifts are currently open in the portal.
