This VOC workshop is designed as a safe, supportive space for women-identifying volunteers to learn trail construction skills from scratch. The curriculum covers trail layout and rock work, tool mechanics and maintenance, and erosion prevention techniques — the same skills used on every VOC field project.
Instructors are experienced female trail crew leaders who have run these workshops before. No prior experience is required; the event is specifically designed for people who want to build skills in a comfortable environment. Ages 16 and up welcome.
The exact location near Jamestown is sent two weeks before the event. Bring layers, sturdy boots, and water. VOC provides all tools and materials.
