This two-day workshop teaches crosscut saw techniques for safely removing downed trees from trails in wilderness and backcountry settings where motorized tools arenβt permitted. Participants cover tool care, maintenance, bucking principles, and field skills, with the opportunity to earn USDA Forest Service crosscut certification up to βBβ skill level.
Both days are required (May 30β31, 8 AMβ4 PM). Valid first aid/CPR certification must be in hand before the class β the registration confirmation will include details on how to meet that requirement if needed.
