9/11 remembrance day trash cleanup with the City of Arvada
Mark the 25th anniversary of 9/11 with a community trash cleanup along Dunraven Street near North Table Mountain, in partnership with the City of Arvada.
Why we picked this
A trash cleanup timed to the 25th anniversary of 9/11, with two moments of silence built into the morning β a quieter kind of volunteer day than most.
Jefferson County Open Space and the City of Arvada are marking the 25th anniversary of September 11th with a morning trash cleanup along Dunraven Street, between North Table Mountain and the Ralston Water Treatment Plant. Park along Dunraven Street (directions are provided at registration) and expect about three and a half hours of walking the corridor, picking up litter, and clearing debris. The morning includes two moments of silence, at 8:46 AM and 9:02 AM, to mark the anniversary.
Wear closed-toe, sturdy shoes and work clothes you donβt mind getting dirty. Bring at least two liters of water and weather-appropriate gear β sun, wind, and early-fall chill are all possible in September. No pets allowed. Volunteers under 18 need a guardian to sign the waiver as well.
Capacity is capped at 50 participants, so register early through the link above. Questions go to Volunteer Services Specialist Shelby Johnson at 303-632-4994.
