Teach a Junior Achievement class in a Denver school
Deliver financial literacy and career readiness lessons to K-12 students. Commit for a single day or one hour a week — curriculum provided.
Why we picked this
One of the most flexible volunteer commitments we've found — you can do a single day or a few weeks, the curriculum is handed to you, and they match you to a school near your home or office.
Junior Achievement is the world’s largest nonprofit dedicated to youth career and economic success, and their Rocky Mountain chapter serves 63 school districts across Colorado. Volunteers deliver ready-made lessons on business, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and career readiness to K-12 classrooms.
The flexibility here is the draw. You can commit to a single JA in a Day experience, a few weekly one-hour sessions, or longer engagements at JA Finance Park where students run through real-life budget simulations. All curriculum and preparation materials are provided — you share your professional experience and follow the lesson plan.
Fill out the Volunteer Interest Form at jarockymountain.org and staff will connect you to classroom opportunities near where you live or work. A background check is required. Their metro Denver office is at 6500 Greenwood Plaza Blvd in Greenwood Village — call 303-534-5252 with questions.
