Why we picked this

The day after Christmas at Red Rocks — a short outdoor session that uses up leftover holiday energy productively and ends before noon.

Friends of Red Rocks gathers the last Saturday of every month for trail maintenance and invasive plant removal at Red Rocks Park open space. December 26 is the winter edition — a compact two to three hours in the open space the morning after Christmas.

Winter cleanup at Red Rocks is lighter work than summer or fall — the focus is maintenance and inspection with less active invasive growth. The landscape is stark and quiet in late December, and the Upper North Lot views are worth the early start. Meet at 9:30 AM. All gear provided. Register through Volgistics.

New volunteers sign two short waivers at check-in. All ages welcome; dress warmly and bring layers.
