Monthly trail cleanup at Red Rocks Park — April
Join Friends of Red Rocks for the monthly trail cleanup and invasive species removal at Red Rocks Park open space. Last Saturday of April, 9:30 AM. All ages welcome.
Why we picked this
A monthly trail cleanup at one of Colorado's most-visited open spaces — removal of invasive species and trail maintenance at Red Rocks on the last Saturday of every month.
Friends of Red Rocks holds a monthly cleanup at Red Rocks Park open space on the last Saturday of each month, year-round. Volunteers tackle trail maintenance, litter removal, and invasive plant removal — the ongoing work that keeps the open space in good shape for the roughly two million people who visit each year. Meet at the Upper North Lot at 9:30 AM.
The work is outdoors, active, and usually takes two to three hours. Dress for Colorado spring weather (layers), bring water, and wear sturdy shoes. Gloves are helpful. All ages are welcome, including children with an adult. Register through Volgistics at the link above before showing up.
Red Rocks open space surrounds the famous amphitheater but is a distinct ecosystem — sandstone formations, foothill shrublands, and sensitive grasslands that require active management to stay healthy under heavy visitor pressure. Monthly volunteer work makes that possible.
