Third Saturday morning shift at Food Bank of the Rockies
Join the monthly Third Saturday volunteer morning at Food Bank of the Rockies — extra hands mean more food sorted and more families served. Ages 10+, groups up to 30.
Why we picked this
Third Saturday at Food Bank of the Rockies draws the biggest volunteer crowd of the month — more hands means more food out the door.
Every third Saturday of the month, Food Bank of the Rockies hosts an extended volunteer morning starting at 8:00 AM — an hour earlier than the regular shift. The extra time means more food sorted, more boxes packed, and more product moving to partner agencies. Up to 30 volunteers can join; register in advance through VolunteerHub.
Wear closed-toe shoes and practical clothes for warehouse work. Free parking is available at the facility at 20600 E 38th Ave in Aurora. Volunteers under 16 need an accompanying adult.
May’s Third Saturday falls on May 16. It’s a good shift for groups — the larger crowd makes the work go faster and there’s usually a noticeable difference in output compared to a regular Saturday.
