Afternoon warehouse shift at Food Bank of the Rockies
Sort and pack food donations at Food Bank of the Rockies' Aurora warehouse. Afternoon shifts run Mon–Sat, 1–4pm. No experience needed, ages 10+.
Why we picked this
An afternoon at the warehouse sorting food that gets distributed the same week — three hours of real work with a clear result and no experience required.
Afternoon warehouse shifts run 1–4pm Monday through Saturday at the Food Bank of the Rockies Aurora facility. Volunteers work through sorting, packing, and quality-checking food donations that go directly into distribution. Up to 20 volunteers work each afternoon shift.
All ages 10 and up are welcome — those under 16 need an adult with them. Closed-toe shoes are required. Register through VolunteerHub in advance; no walk-ins.
The Aurora facility at 20600 E 38th Ave has on-site parking and is straightforward to reach from the Denver metro. Afternoon slots are often easier to find than morning openings if your schedule favors the later start.
