Morning warehouse shift at Food Bank of the Rockies
Sort donations, check dates, and repack bulk food at the Aurora warehouse on the last day of July. Physical warehouse work done by noon. Ages 10+.
Why we picked this
Close out July on the warehouse floor β a Friday morning shift with a clear, measurable output: thousands of pounds sorted and ready to move before noon.
This Friday morning shift at Food Bank of the Rockies in Aurora is the last warehouse opportunity of July. Volunteers work on the sorting floor, processing food donations by checking quality and dates, pulling items that donβt meet standards, and repacking bulk goods into family-sized portions for distribution throughout Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region.
The work is consistently physical from start to finish: standing, lifting, carting product, and maintaining pace on the sorting line alongside the full volunteer crew. Closed-toe shoes are required; no sandals or open-toed footwear in the warehouse. Layering is helpful for the early morning start. Shift runs 8:45 AM to noon.
Groups of up to 30 may register together. All registration must be completed in advance through VolunteerHub β no walk-ins accepted. Minimum age is 10; volunteers under 16 must have a supervising adult present throughout the shift.
