Morning warehouse shift at Food Bank of the Rockies
Sort donated food, repack bulk goods, and move product at the Aurora warehouse. Done by noon. Closed-toe shoes required. Ages 10+, groups welcome.
Why we picked this
End the week with a Friday morning shift where you can see exactly what you accomplished β pallets of sorted, repacked food heading out to families across the region by the time you leave.
This morning shift puts volunteers directly on the warehouse floor at Food Bank of the Rockiesβ Aurora distribution center. Youβll sort incoming food donations, verify quality and date stamps, separate items, and repack bulk product into family-sized lots that partner agencies can hand directly to clients.
Expect physical work: lifting boxes, loading carts, working a moving sorting line, standing for the full shift. Closed-toe shoes are required β no exceptions in the warehouse. Dress in layers; early morning warehouse temps can differ from outside. The shift runs 8:45 AM to noon.
Groups up to 30 volunteers are welcome to register together through VolunteerHub. Walk-ins are not accepted β advance registration is required. Minimum age is 10; volunteers younger than 16 must be supervised by an adult throughout the shift.
