Why we picked this
Three hours of sorting and packing in the afternoon at one of Colorado's busiest food distribution hubs. Physical work, organized workflow, no experience needed.
Afternoon warehouse shifts at Food Bank of the Rockies run 1:00–4:00 PM at the Aurora distribution center, 20600 E 38th Ave. The work is physical and well-structured: sorting donated items, repacking bulk goods, and loading product for distribution to partner agencies across Colorado.
Closed-toe shoes are required. Groups of up to 20 are welcome with advance registration through VolunteerHub. No walk-ins. Ages 10 and up; under-16 need an adult.
The afternoon team tends to be a bit smaller than the morning crew, which means more hands-on time with staff and a clear sense of how the daily operation runs end-to-end.
