The Wheat Ridge Food Forest holds a monthly volunteer workday on the first Wednesday of each month, 5:00–7:00 PM. The August session focuses on late-summer upkeep: weeding established plantings, watering, and any seasonal maintenance the site needs.
Meet at the covered pavilion at 4226 Ammons St in Wheat Ridge, then head to the food forest just east of the pavilion. Bring work gloves, water, and sunscreen; tools and equipment are provided. Family-friendly, all ages welcome.
The food forest is part of DUG’s network of 180+ community gardens and sits just west of Denver, accessible from most parts of the metro area.
