Pathway workday at STEAM Academy Food Forest — September
Dig, mulch, and lay crusher fines to continue the accessible pathway build at STEAM Academy Food Forest. Physical work, 10 volunteer spots available.
Why we picked this
The STEAM Academy pathway project continues into September — more digging and crusher-fine laying to finish making this food forest navigable for everyone.
The accessibility pathway build at STEAM Academy Food Forest continues this fall. This session picks up where the spring workday left off, with volunteers digging, mulching, and laying crusher fine material to extend the path through the site. Tasks are physical but require no specialized skill — DUG staff direct the work and provide all materials.
The workday runs from 9:00 AM to noon. Wear close-toed shoes and clothes suited to getting dirty, bring sun protection and a reusable water bottle, and arrive early for parking and check-in — orientation starts promptly at 9:00. Light snacks and water are provided. 10 volunteer spots are open.
STEAM Academy Food Forest is at 2900 Richard Allen Ct in northeast Denver. Once finished, the pathway will make the food forest accessible to visitors with mobility limitations — a concrete improvement that this second workday helps complete.
