2nd Saturday workday at Samuels Community Garden
Join neighbors for the monthly workday at Samuels Community Garden. Two hours of group tasks, then free time in your plot. Families welcome, no experience needed.
Why we picked this
The 2nd Saturday of every month at Samuels β two hours of communal garden work, then time to tend your own plot or stick around and talk. A genuinely neighborly morning.
Every second Saturday of the month from 9 to 11am, the Samuels Community Garden community gathers to take care of the shared spaces. Sometimes itβs a specific project β building something, fixing something, improving a communal bed. Sometimes itβs weeding and turning the compost piles. After two hours of group work, youβre free to tend your own plot or just hang around.
This is one of those recurring events that turns strangers into neighbors. Family-friendly with no experience needed β show up in clothes you can get dirty, bring a reusable water bottle, and youβre all set.
Upcoming dates in 2026: May 9, June 13, July 11, August 8, September 12 β all 9amβ11am. Register through the link for your first time; contact Sue Mathison at samuelsgarden2011@gmail.com with questions.
