Why we picked this

You help run the room — check-in, refreshments, tech support — and get to sit in on the full Basics of Organic Gardening workshop while doing it. Arrive at 8am, done by 11am.

Denver Urban Gardens needs a couple of volunteers to help the education team run their Basics of Organic Gardening workshop at the Posner Center on May 30. Tasks include setup and cleanup, checking in attendees at the door, managing the refreshment station, providing tech support, helping with outdoor activity segments, and administering exit surveys.

The workshop itself runs from 9–11am — volunteers who arrive for the 8am setup get to be present for the whole session, which covers practical organic gardening methods for home and community garden use. It’s a good way to pick up content knowledge while contributing to the event.

Age 16+. Light lifting and some standing involved; both indoor and outdoor work. The Posner Center is at 1031 33rd St. in Denver. Three volunteer spots remaining — register through the link above.
