4th Friday workday at Nome Park Community Garden
Monthly Friday workday at Nome Park Community Garden in Aurora — plant, weed, build, and harvest alongside neighbors. Recurring commitment welcomed but not required.
Why we picked this
The fourth Friday of every month at Nome Park in Aurora — plant, weed, build, and harvest with the community. An evening session that fits after work and welcomes whoever shows up.
Nome Park Community Garden holds a regular workday on the fourth Friday of each month — an evening session designed to fit around work schedules. Volunteers help with whatever the garden needs that week: planting, weeding, building or repairing raised beds, and harvesting when the season is right.
All skill levels welcome; it’s a garden workday, not a garden test. Aurora community members lead the sessions. All ages welcome.
Nome Park Garden is at 1200 Nome St in Aurora, near I-225. Recurring volunteers build continuity with the site and the community that tends it, but one-time drop-ins are welcome too.
