Why we picked this
End your Friday in a garden — Nome Park's 4th Friday workday runs 90 minutes starting at 6 PM. Weeding, planting, and whatever else the garden needs that week.
Nome Park Community Garden’s 4th Friday evening workday is a casual way to close out the week in the garden. From 6:00 to 7:30 PM, volunteers help with planting, building, weeding, and harvesting under the direction of DUG’s Aurora/Eastern Eggplants program staff.
Up to 20 volunteer spots are available. Bring gloves and water. The garden provides the tools and the direction — just show up and put in the work.
Nome Park is at 1200 Nome Street in Aurora. The Friday evening series gives working volunteers a weeknight option alongside the Saturday and Thursday slots.
