4th Friday evening workday at Nome Park Community Garden — Aug 28
Wrap up your Friday at Nome Park Community Garden in Aurora: 90 minutes of planting, weeding, and harvesting with the garden crew. All ages welcome.
Why we picked this
End-of-week garden time at Nome Park — weeding, compost management, and whatever else the beds need before the weekend.
Nome Park Community Garden’s 4th Friday evening workday runs from 6:00 to 7:30 PM, with volunteers pitching in on compost management, weeding, building projects, and general upkeep under the direction of DUG’s Aurora/Eastern Eggplants staff. It’s a casual, social close to the week.
Bring gloves if you have them (loaners are usually available) and your own water bottle — there’s no water source on site. Close-toed shoes recommended. In the event of bad weather, the garden leader may reschedule, so check ahead if the forecast looks rough.
Nome Park is at 1200 Nome Street in Aurora. The Friday evening slot runs alongside the garden’s Saturday and Thursday workdays, giving volunteers with weekday schedules another option to get involved.
