Why we picked this

Spend an hour and a half at one rotation station in a 2nd-grade Garden of Wonder class — DUG runs the curriculum, you keep the energy going at your table.

Denver Urban Gardens runs Garden of Wonder classes for 2nd graders at Johnson Elementary, and volunteers help by facilitating one of the hands-on activity rotation stations. The DUG educator leads the class and handles the curriculum — your role is to keep your station running smoothly and engage the kids at your table.

DUG will contact you before the class to coordinate with the assigned educator and share what you’ll need to know. No formal teaching experience required, but comfort working with elementary-age kids is helpful. Only 2 volunteer spots available for this session.

The school is at 1850 S. Irving St. in Denver. The shift runs roughly 12:15pm to around 2pm.
