Why we picked this

Help run a tincture-making workshop where participants learn to extract medicinal plants into alcohol — practical herbalism from the DUG urban herbalism series.

Making tinctures is one of the most practical ways to preserve and use medicinal herbs, and DUG’s DIY Herbal Tinctures workshop teaches the process from the ground up. Participants learn about the plants they’re working with, the extraction process, and how to use simple alcohol-based tinctures for home wellness purposes.

Volunteers help with setup, support participants during the hands-on tincture-making portions, and assist the DUG educator running the class. The session runs from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on a Tuesday evening — the first night of September.

Posner Center is DUG’s main indoor workshop space in Denver. The DIY Herbal Tinctures session is part of the urban herbalism series that runs from spring through fall, building a progressive set of skills around identifying, growing, harvesting, and using medicinal plants.
