Garden leader training: build a picnic table and raised bed with power tools
Learn to use power tools to build a picnic table and raised bed for your community garden. Two evenings at Ruby Hill Park. For DUG garden leaders and prospective leaders. Jun 15–16.
Why we picked this
Two evenings learning to build real things for your garden with power tools — a picnic table and raised bed. No prior tool experience required, and what you build goes into community use.
Denver Urban Gardens partnered with Tool Bank to offer this two-evening training for garden leaders and tree keepers — and anyone interested in becoming one. Participants learn to use power tools to build a functional picnic table and raised bed for use in a community garden or food forest.
No prior tool experience is required. Both evenings are mandatory (June 15 and 16, 6–8pm each night). The training is open to current DUG Garden Leaders, Steering Committee members, Tree Keepers, and prospective leaders who request access.
Ruby Hill Park Community Garden is at 1690 S Pecos St in south Denver. Register through the DUG event portal.
