Preserving the flavor of summer food preservation workshop at Posner Center
Learn hands-on food preservation techniques for summer produce at this evening workshop with Denver Urban Gardens at the Posner Center. 6–8 PM.
Why we picked this
A two-hour evening workshop on preserving summer produce — the kind of skill that pays off every August when the garden overflows and you're not sure what to do with all of it.
Denver Urban Gardens hosts this hands-on food preservation workshop at the Posner Center for International Development in RiNo. You’ll learn practical techniques for preserving summer produce — whether from your garden, the farmers market, or your CSA box — so nothing goes to waste when peak season hits.
The workshop runs from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and is designed for all skill levels. Bring a notebook if you want to take notes; the Posner Center has easy street parking and is accessible by light rail (38th & Blake station is a short walk).
This is part of DUG’s ongoing community education series. Previous sessions have covered composting, medicinal plants, and mushroom cultivation. Check dug.org/events/ for updated registration details closer to the date.
