Why we picked this

Help kindergartners through 5th graders rotate through garden activity stations — an educator runs the class, you support the stations. Spanish is a plus at this school.

Denver Urban Gardens brings garden-based learning to Doull Elementary through the Bilingual Garden of Wonder curriculum for kindergarten through 5th grade. Volunteers join a DUG Youth Educator to help facilitate the session — after an introduction, students rotate through three hands-on activity stations where you’ll guide small groups.

Spanish language skills are preferred for this school but not required. You’ll be supporting an educator-led class, not leading independently. Arrive on time; school classes run on tight schedules. Regular clothes are fine for this indoor school setting.

Doull Elementary is at 2520 S Utica St in southwest Denver. Register through the DUG volunteer portal for directions and check-in instructions.
