Inaugural workday at Crumley Park Community Garden
Be among the first volunteers to help develop Denver's new Crumley Park Community Garden. Plot setup and prep work with Denver Urban Gardens staff. Saturday April 25.
Why we picked this
Denver is opening a new community garden at Crumley Park — this is the workday where the space first takes shape. What you build here will still be standing in twenty years.
Crumley Park Community Garden is a new Denver Urban Gardens site, and the April 25 workday is the inaugural volunteer session — among the first work done to develop the space. DUG staff will lead volunteers through plot setup and preparation tasks that establish the garden for its first growing season.
The shift runs Saturday morning from 9 AM to noon at Crumley Park in Harvey Park South (174 S Knox Ct, Denver, CO 80219). All ages welcome; no experience required. Bring work clothes and gloves. This is part of DUG’s Southern Spicy Peppers program, which builds and supports community gardens in south Denver.
Inaugural workdays at a new community garden site are a rare thing. The hours you put in here will be visible in the garden structure for years.
