Flocktoberfest: Live Owl Presentation with Nature's Educators
Free live owl presentation kicking off Denver Audubon's Flocktoberfest at Kingery Nature Center. Family-friendly, up-close raptor encounter. Oct 3, 9–9:30 AM MDT.
Why we picked this
Live raptors up close tend to convert kids into birders faster than any walk — Nature's Educators brings non-releasable owls that can't survive in the wild, so the encounter also doubles as a lesson in wildlife rehab.
Flocktoberfest opens with a free live owl presentation from Nature’s Educators, a wildlife rehabilitation and education group that brings non-releasable owls for an up-close look and talk. The birds in the program can’t survive in the wild due to injury, so the presentation doubles as an introduction to what wildlife rehabilitators do.
It’s a short, high-impact program well suited to families and younger kids who might not have the patience for a full guided walk. Expect a mix of owl species and plenty of time for questions.
Free to attend, with a $10 suggested donation. The presentation runs 9 to 9:30 AM at Kingery Nature Center, 11280 Waterton Rd. in Littleton.
