New volunteer orientation at Project Angel Heart — Nov 28
One-time orientation that unlocks kitchen, distribution, and delivery shifts at Project Angel Heart in Denver. In-person and virtual, Saturday 10:00 AM MDT.
Why we picked this
The Saturday after Thanksgiving — orientation runs as usual for anyone starting fresh in December.
Project Angel Heart requires a one-time new volunteer orientation before working any kitchen, distribution, or delivery shift. The Nov 28 session runs on a Saturday at 10:00 AM MDT and is available both in-person at the Brighton Blvd facility and virtually. The orientation covers food safety basics, how shifts are organized, what to expect on your first day, and how to sign up for future slots.
Once you’ve completed orientation, you can book directly through the volunteer portal for any open morning or afternoon kitchen shift (Mon–Fri), Thursday distribution packing, or Friday meal delivery driving. Bag decorating on Tuesdays is the one activity that doesn’t require orientation — everything else does.
If you’ve been thinking about volunteering at Project Angel Heart but haven’t taken the first step, this is the one session that makes all the others accessible. Register through the volunteer portal before the Saturday date.
