Why we picked this

Three hours of real kitchen work — scooping, wrapping, and sealing meals for neighbors living with serious illness. One Saturday orientation unlocks your schedule.

You’ll spend three hours in Project Angel Heart’s kitchen scooping, wrapping, and sealing medically tailored meals for Coloradans living with serious illnesses like cancer and ALS. Staff lead the kitchen; volunteers rotate through stations at a steady pace. Expect to be on your feet for most of the shift.

New volunteers need to complete a one-time orientation before their first kitchen shift. Saturday orientations run at 10am, take about an hour, and are available both in-person and virtually. After orientation, you book individual shifts through the CERVIS portal at volunteer.projectangelheart.org. Wear comfortable closed-toe shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting a little food on.

The kitchen is at 4925 Brighton Blvd in the RiNo neighborhood — parking is available on site. Morning shifts run Monday through Friday and slots are plentiful through September 2026, so finding a time that works for your schedule is easy.
