Evening kitchen shift at Project Angel Heart
Join the evening kitchen crew prepping medically tailored meals at Project Angel Heart. Shifts run 5:00–7:00 PM weekdays through December 2026. Ages 16+.
Why we picked this
The evening shift is two hours starting at 5 — short, practical, and done before dinner. Same kitchen prep as the morning crew, for people who can't do 8:30 AM.
The evening kitchen shift at Project Angel Heart runs weekdays from 5:00 to 7:00 PM — a shorter block than morning or afternoon shifts, and one that doesn’t require rearranging your day. You’ll be doing the same meal prep work: chopping, scooping, baking, bagging, and cleaning up after a production kitchen. Over 600 evening slots are open through December 2026.
Come with a hat (any style), a shirt with sleeves, and closed-toe shoes. Long hair needs to be tied back. Orientation is required before your first shift — about an hour, available in person on Saturdays or virtually on Wednesday evenings through the volunteer portal.
The kitchen is at 4950 Washington St in Denver. If you’ve been wanting to get involved but couldn’t make morning or afternoon hours work, this is the one to try.
