Distribution meal packing on Thursday mornings at Project Angel Heart
Pack medically tailored meal bags that will be delivered across Denver metro the next day. Thursday morning shift, 9 AM–noon. Over 200 spots open through August.
Why we picked this
The distribution shift is assembly-line focused — you pack the bags that drivers will deliver the next day. Three hours of focused work, and you can visualize exactly where those meals are going.
The distribution shift at Project Angel Heart is where kitchen production becomes meals on doorsteps. You’ll spend the morning organizing and packing meal bags that delivery volunteers will pick up on Friday, bringing them to Denver neighbors who are homebound and living with serious illness. It’s methodical, satisfying work with a clear end result.
Shifts run Thursday mornings from 9 AM to noon at the Angel Heart facility on Moline St. No experience needed — staff and experienced volunteers lead the packing process. More than 200 spots are open between now and late August, so you can drop in on any Thursday that fits your schedule. Orientation is required before your first shift.
Groups are welcome here too. If you’re coordinating a team volunteer day, the Thursday morning distribution shift is a solid option with room for multiple people in the same session.
