Meal distribution volunteer shift at Project Angel Heart — Thursdays
Sort and pack meals for distribution every Thursday morning at Project Angel Heart. Shifts run 9am–noon. New volunteer orientation required first.
Why we picked this
Thursday distribution is where hundreds of meals get sorted, verified, and boxed for delivery — three hours of methodical work that directly feeds Denver's homebound sick.
Every Thursday morning from 9am to noon, volunteers at Project Angel Heart sort, verify, and box medically tailored meals that will be delivered to clients throughout the Denver metro area. Distribution is distinct from kitchen prep — you’re handling the finished meals, checking them for accuracy, and getting them ready for the Friday delivery drivers.
Like all hands-on roles at Angel Heart, distribution requires a one-time orientation first. Saturday orientations run at 10am at the Brighton Blvd facility and are also available virtually. Once complete, you can sign up for any open distribution Thursday through the CERVIS volunteer portal.
Comfortable closed-toe shoes are required. The facility is at 4925 Brighton Blvd with on-site parking. Slots are available most Thursdays through September 2026.
