Why we picked this

Thursday distribution is where you see a week's worth of kitchen work become boxes ready to go out the door β€” a satisfying three hours that's group-friendly and beginner-ready.

On Thursday mornings, the distribution team at Project Angel Heart sorts and packs meal boxes that will go out to clients β€” either picked up by clients directly or loaded onto delivery routes. The shift runs 9am to noon and involves physical sorting, boxing, and organizing. It’s efficient and well-structured, and you’ll see the results walk out the door by the end of your shift.

A one-time volunteer orientation is required before your first distribution shift. Saturday orientations run at 10am at the Brighton Blvd facility or virtually. After that, you book individual Thursdays through the CERVIS portal.

Distribution shifts are group-friendly β€” if you have a team of coworkers or a club looking to volunteer together, this is a good fit. The Washington St. facility has parking and is accessible from major Denver roadways.
