Decorate meal bags for Project Angel Heart clients
Decorate meal bags for Project Angel Heart at home — no orientation required. Perfect for families, classrooms, and K–12 students earning community hours.
Why we picked this
No orientation, no schedule — pick up blank meal bags, decorate them at home with your household or classroom, and return them. K–12 students count each bag as a volunteer hour.
Meal bag decorating is Project Angel Heart’s most accessible volunteer activity — no orientation required, no minimum age, and no fixed schedule. You pick up a stack of plain meal bags from the facility at 4925 Brighton Blvd, decorate them at home, and bring them back whenever you’re done. The decorated bags go out with every meal delivery to clients living with serious illness.
This is a natural fit for families, classroom projects, scout troops, and kids looking to earn community service hours. K–12 students count each completed bag as one community service hour. The only requirement is that bags must be picked up and returned to the Brighton Blvd location during regular hours — details and the pickup process are on the volunteer page.
Note: this activity is not eligible for court-ordered community service hours. For all other volunteer purposes, it’s open to everyone.
