Decorate meal bags for Project Angel Heart clients
Decorate plain meal bags at the Project Angel Heart kitchen in Denver — no orientation required. Drop-in Tuesdays, flexible hours, all supplies provided.
Why we picked this
No orientation, no assigned shift — just show up on Tuesday, pick up blank bags, and decorate them. Every bag that goes out with a delivery carries a small piece of this work.
Bag decorating is the lowest-barrier way to contribute to Project Angel Heart — no orientation required, no fixed schedule, and no experience needed. On Tuesdays, volunteers come in to the Brighton Blvd kitchen and decorate plain meal bags with drawings, patterns, or messages. The decorated bags go out with every meal delivery to clients living with serious illness.
All supplies are provided on site. The activity is flexible — come when it works for you on Tuesday and stay as long as you’d like. No special skills are needed, and there’s no pressure to produce a certain number of bags.
This is a good option if you want a low-commitment introduction to Project Angel Heart’s work, or if you’re looking for something creative and hands-on that doesn’t require a full shift commitment. Note that this activity is not eligible for court-ordered community service hours.
